The votes are In! West Coast Flooring ranks No. 1 for Local Carpet / Flooring Store in the Home Improvement Category.
SAN DIEGO, September 1, 2011 — The competition had reached fever pitch as readers of the San Diego locals submitted their ballots online and via mail carriers to the San Diego Union Tribune. The newspaper had challenged them with a simple but complicated question: “Which businesses are the best in San Diego?” At the end of the day, 538,032 votes were counted. San Diegans had spoken.
Winners of the award were selected from a variety of categories, including Auto, Bars & Nightlife, Entertainment, Finance, Food & Restaurants, For the Home, Healthy Living, Home Improvement, Real Estate, San Diego Life, Shopping & Services, and Sports & Recreation. Awards were also broken out into sub-categories, such as dive bar, dentist, solar contractor, health & fitness club, golf course, and more.
One winner from each was awarded the San Diego’s Best 2011 Award, the newspapers’ highest distinction. All in all, 185 San Diego businesses were distinguished with the award. All of the winners were released on September 1st, on the San Diego Union Tribune website, at signonsandiego.com/bestof.
